It's always a challenge. You sometimes have to drop someone you dont want to for a player that sucks.

And if you are playing anyone decent, more often that not it's a loss.

OK I'm done venting.

I made the mistake of not thinking about bye weeks when I drafted. Between byes and injuries I have my top 3 RB's and my top 3 WR's all out in one week in one league I'm in. Only good thing is after this week I'll be looking good. As for this week I have to hope all my WW pickups have great games and I get lucky.

The strategy I use every year is not to worry about bye weeks. I try to get as many as possible on bye the same week (while still fielding a team). I would rather suck for a week, instead of patchworking a lineup for 5-6 weeks. I have Kitna, Roy Williams, Gore, Nedney, and H Miller gone.

This is my lineup this week in a yardage league:

Schaub
Portis, Ward (or one of the Atl RB's)
Housh, A Davis
Pick up TE
Ravens kicker

My opponent has people on bye and loses SJax. Nice thing is the rest of the year, I have one or two on byes and thats it.
